The safety of President Cristina Kirchner’s daughter, Florencia, was threatened last night when four delinquents tried to steal her bodyguards’ car. Two were arrested, one of whom suffered bullet wounds to his neck and thorax, while the other two managed to escape.
The confrontation occurred a little before midnight in front of a house on Esmeralda at 2900, in the Florida area.
The Federal Police presidential bodyguards reported that they resisted the attempted robbery, identifying themselves as officers. For this reason they were forced to initiate a shoot out, which resulted in the injury one of the four delinquents.
The youngest daughter of President Kirchner and former president, Nestor Kirchner, was not harmed in the attack. She remained inside her friend’s house.
The police indicated that the attackers arrived at the house in a Tovota Hilux van which had been stolen hours earlier.
